Festival of Life- Baroque Easter Concert – Vivaldi & Albinoni
Easter has always been considered as the highest “festival of life”. At the same time, the nature awakes to new life in spring and treats our senses to bright colours with floral scents and mild winds, that gently caress the palace walls.
The Berliner Residence Ensemble invites you to a festive Easter concert on April the 8th, 2023 in the Great Orangery of Charlottenburg Palace.
Look forward to musical works from the baroque era- an era that stand for enjoyment of live and closeness to nature.
In the majestic ambience of the palace, the Adagio in G minor by Tomaso Albinoni unfolds its heartfelt beauty and touches our souls in their deepest depths. The Adagio is considered a “jewel of old music”- festive& sensual, atmospheric& expressive.
“L´Estro Armonico“- “ the harmonic inspiration”- is the title of a cycle of twelve concertos for violins and strings ensemble, which Antonio Vivaldi wrote in 1711 as he published his Opus 3 in Amsterdam.
From this opus you will hear the Concerto for two violins in A minor Op.3 No.8 RV 522. Enjoy the captivating solo of the violins and celebrate the spring & the Easter in a magnificent atmosphere and at a concert full of joie de vivre!
