Royal Christmas – Festive Concerts

Christmas - the most festive time of the year and for many of us, the time of the desire for moments of peace and reflection. Music is able to give this to us and so you are cordially invited once again this year, to our heart-rending holiday concerts from December 24th to 26^th in the Great Orangery of Charlottenburg Palace.

The music of George Friedrich Händel has been touching people´s souls for centuries – the Berliner Residenz Ensemble, conducted by Alexandra Rossmann, plays from his oratorio Messiah HWV 56 “But who may abide the day of His coming”, the Pastoral Symphony & “He shall feed his flock like a sheperd”.

The music of Johann Sebastian Bach and the Concerto grosso op.6 No. 8 “Fatto per la note di Natale” by the Italian Arcangelo Corelli with his famous Pastorale will warm your heart and testify to mankind’s longing for peace and harmony.

Perhaps you can turn your visit to the concert into a feast for all the senses with a royal dinner in the west wing of the Great Orangery on the two Christmas holidays - a Christmassy three-course menu before the concert is provided!
